Jason Cundy, a former Chelsea player, was in Madrid as a fan to watch his beloved team play in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid. However, Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Spanish giants left Cundy frustrated and looking for a drink to drown his sorrows.
During a live talkSPORT broadcast from a bar in Madrid, Cundy expressed his dismay at the bar’s strict passport rules, which made it difficult for him to get a drink. His frustration increased when he was asked to leave the bar mid-broadcast, leaving him unable to continue sharing his thoughts on the game.
Despite Chelsea’s disappointing performance in the first leg, Cundy remained optimistic and insisted that the tie was not over yet. However, he was interrupted mid-sentence and asked to leave the bar, to the amusement of his talkSPORT colleagues.
Chelsea now face an uphill battle in the second leg, which will take place at Stamford Bridge. With a poor season in the Premier League, the Blues have little to lose, but they will need to perform at their best to overcome Real Madrid and secure a place in the semi-finals against either Manchester City or Bayern Munich.
