Chelsea has been linked with several goalkeepers in recent transfer rumors, including both Onana and Raya. The Telegraph previously reported that Chelsea aims to secure the signing of Inter’s highly rated goalkeeper Onana, who is valued at £40 million.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports stated that Chelsea’s pursuit of Raya would come at a similar price, around £40 million, to tempt him away from Brentford.
However, according to 90min, Chelsea’s priority is to acquire Onana in their search for a new goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge. It is believed that if Chelsea fails to secure the signing of Inter’s number one, they could turn their attention to Raya.
Both Onana and Raya are 27 years old, and there isn’t a significant difference between them in terms of ability. Onana has more experience playing on the biggest stage, including this season’s Champions League semi-finals against AC Milan. It is worth noting that Inter Milan and AC Milan will face each other again in the second leg.
On the other hand, Raya has shown consistent performance in the Premier League over the past two seasons with Brentford.
