According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the likelihood of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount departing in the upcoming summer transfer window is growing. Despite negotiations, Mount has yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract, and with his current one expiring next year, the club will be willing to sell him this summer if a deal cannot be reached.
Romano took to Twitter to state, “The negotiations between Chelsea and Mason Mount are still at a standstill, and a new contract seems far from being agreed upon. Although no final decision has been made, the possibility of Mount leaving Chelsea is increasing. If a new deal isn’t reached before the summer, Mount will be available on the market.”
Mount is a target for Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United this summer.
