Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Romelu Lukaku was cautioned not to sign with Chelsea, according to Arsenal veteran Thierry Henry, who also thinks the striker has no desire to go back to Stamford Bridge.
With only 15 goals in 44 appearances, Lukaku struggled to make an impact in his first season back at Stamford Bridge after moving to Chelsea for £97.5 million from Inter in 2021.
Last summer, Lukaku went back to Inter Milan on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
When Lukaku moved to Chelsea, “We had a conversation,” Henry told CBS Sports.
“I warned him that playing for Chelsea would be challenging, and it just so happened that Tuchel’s preferred style of play made that prediction accurate.
Rom likes to stay put, feed him, play him early, he will attempt to intimidate you, turn, remain in the box, crosses, he’s a different type of No. 9 than what Tuchel intended. Pressing, the No. 9 and winger have to adjust.
“Now, will he work with what Potter is attempting to accomplish? Even without him on the squad, I believe they are having difficulty with it.
“But, what does he intend to do? The essential issue is that I don’t believe he wants to return; I believe he wants to stay at Inter.
And if they want him back, there might be some conflict there because I believe he wants to remain there.
“The manner in which he returned. He said, “Everyone knows what I want to do, and what I want to do is to stay,” only the other day.
