Liverpool is putting together its case to sign midfielder Bellingham, 19, in the summer, according to a 90min story from this week.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, Liverpool is one among the teams closely monitoring Mount, a 24-year-old offensive midfielder, according to a December interview with GiveMeSport.
Mason Mount versus Jude Bellingham
The English duo Bellingham and Mount have drawn the attention of TalkSPORT analyst Darren Bent, although Bent believes Bellingham should be Liverpool’s top priority.
Bent told talkSPORT, “Mason Mount is a weird one because Liverpool is sniffing.
Mount is a capable player, but you can’t have both. You’re heading to Bellingham if you can obtain a Bellingham or Mason Mount, right?
Mount, who has won Chelsea’s player of the year honors the last two seasons, is currently through a difficult period in his personal form.
The Blues should not, however, even consider selling him, especially to a competitor like Liverpool.
It’s not the right time to turn your back on the creative midfielder since he’s battling to play himself back into shape, but he is now beginning to divide opinion within the fanbase.
The Athletic claims that Chelsea is currently concentrating on new contracts for both Mount and N’Golo Kante. Therefore, it doesn’t seem like the Mount departure rumors are a cause for concern at this time.
