Thanks to Jorginho Agent! – Chelsea fans slam Arsenal fans as Rio Ferdinand transfer claim backfires
As Chelsea supporters find humor in the former Blues midfielder ‘halting’ Arsenal’s Premier League title charge, Jorginho is under heat online.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! After Everton halted the Gunners’ Premier League winning streak, Chelsea supporters made fun of Arsenal supporters online. After 30 minutes of the second half at Goodison Park, James Tarkowski gave the Toffees the lead just seconds after Thomas Partey was replaced by Jorginho.
And Blues supporters seized the opportunity to jokingly applaud the Italian international for helping Sean Dyche’s team secure a lead. Although Jorginho had little to do with Tarkowski leaping over Martin Odegaard, his defender, and nodding the ball past Aaron Ramsdale, his supporters instantly dubbed him “agent Jorginho” online.
A longstanding joke among Chelsea supporters is that players who are towards the end of their time at Stamford Bridge join the north Londoners, such as Petr Cech, Willian, and David Luiz, and are then, in fun, referred to as “undercover agents” scheming against Arsenal.
Of course, this isn’t the reality; instead, it’s just a joke among Chelsea fans. Football. London has looked at some of the best responses to Jorginho’s Arsenal debut after discovering that many Blues supporters had been making fun of their rivals on social media.
With a saluting emoji, @MattDebonoAC tweeted: “Got to respect Jorginho’s efforts as Arsenal fall to defeat. Agent Jorgi.”
@CarefreeLewisG tweeted: “Jorginho on and Arsenal go 1-0 down. That’s my agent man.”
@_AsiwajuLerry tweeted: “Jorginho enter field, Everton score. Thank you Agent Jorginho!”
@MaximilianCFC tweeted: “Agent Jorginho perhaps we judged you wrong, proper chefs.”
@Ziyechman tweeted: “I told you that Jorginho is the Chelsea secret agent, another master class from Todd Boehly.”
Rio Ferdinand’s assertion prior to Arsenal’s matchup with Everton appears to have already backfired as Jorginho is now being called out on Twitter. The former Manchester United defender said the Italian was a “great addition” when speaking on BT Sport.
Ferdinand praised the signing of Jorginho, calling it “a terrific signing.” Experience, someone who is familiar with the Premier League so that he won’t need to undergo any cultural acclimatization upon arrival from abroad.
He’s a different kind of player than Partey, but he understands his job, and a major, big part of it is intelligence. He knows how to win at different levels. They had a really excellent window, and you can see by the way he plays football that he is a bright footballer. You have to be an intelligent football player to play in Arteta’s system.
