Hakim Ziyech gives reasons why it is a must for him to leave Chelsea despite Morocco success
Chelsea scouting reports: Hakim Ziyech, a forward for the Blues, performed admirably for Morocco in the World Cup, but he is still being persuaded to leave Stamford Bridge and start over at a different club.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Few people, excluding Samuel Eto’o, would have guessed that Hakim Ziyech would still be in Qatar with two Chelsea players remaining in the World Cup semi-finals. His motivated and uplifted Moroccan team has become the first African team to go to the tournament’s semifinals.
It will be difficult for them to defeat the current champions France, but the same was stated about games against Spain and Portugal. Only one goal has been given up during their amazing run up to this point, and it was a deflected shot.
Walid Regragui has turned his team, which includes a number of well-known figures—perhaps most notably Achraf Hakimi, Ziyech, Sofiane Boufal, and Romain Saiss—into legitimate contenders for the top prize. Not many Chelsea supporters would have anticipated it.
It will be unexpected to witness an active side playing with speed and organization, in which Ziyech is a vital component, given the version of Ziyech that has been on display for the previous 12 months, frequently cutting a solitary, indifferent, and unhappy figure. After falling drastically out of favour with Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter, the 29-year-old was anticipated to leave Stamford Bridge during the summer.
But his stellar achievements in Qatar will have improved his standing going into January, and another chance to move on might be right around the horizon. Because of the global tournament’s “store window effect,” the interest may also be coming from unanticipated places. Manchester United is apparently one of the clubs who would be eager to hire him.
Ziyech may get together now that ex-Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is in charge. When Chelsea came knocking in 2019, the Dutch manager was in control of Ziyech. However, the situation may soon reverse, and former Moroccan player Mustafa El Haddaoui believes the move makes complete sense.
He stated, “Now that we can see Hakim’s potential and what he is capable of, we can see what he is capable of. He is very valuable. Because the former Ajax manager [Ten Hag] desired him, he had quit Chelsea and transfer to Manchester United. He will recover, but Chelsea needs to let him go during the winter transfer window.
Ian Wright expressed his love for Hakim Ziyech on the Wrighty’s House podcast, saying, “I’m loving Hakim Ziyech at this World Cup, I’m loving him,” despite the fact that it might be too late for Ziyech at Chelsea and too late for Potter to get a true resurgence out of him at club level. “I adore his playing style.
“When he plays for his country, he plays with a new energy. I don’t mean to sound critical while I watch him play for Chelsea, but this man needs it when he’s representing Morocco. Keep in mind that he had all those issues with the [prior] coach, he wasn’t participating, the coach was fired, and now look at where they are.
In the meantime, Roy Keane told SkyBet that Hakim Ziyech “looks like a different player” because of the changing environment. He added that while some players struggle at the club level, other personalities may fare better in the World Cup and international football. Ziyech seems to have a lot of personality for Morocco, but you don’t see that for Chelsea at the club level.
