‘They don’t love you’ Thierry Henry slam star Chelsea sold after he down
After RB Leipzig defeated Celtic in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night at Parkhead, Thierry Henry hailed former Chelsea forward Timo Werner, as he spoke to CBS Sports on Paramount+ (11/10/22 at 10:15 pm).
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The illustrious striker discussed Werner’s improvement in play when he joined Bayern Munich for £25 million in the summer (BBC Sport), where his goal and an assist eliminated Ange Postecoglou’s team from the Champions League.
A waiting Celtic audience would have hoped that Werner had brought his shooting boots from Stamford Bridge when he returned to British territory yesterday night. When wearing Chelsea colors, Werner couldn’t hit a barn down.

Instead, Celtic acquired a player who exudes confidence, plays intelligently, makes the right choices, and creates issues in the final third.
After a spirited start from the Scottish Premiership winners, both teams began exchanging blows heavily without scoring until Werner changed the game in the final 15 minutes.
Werner opened the scoring for his team after Andre Silva’s cut-back from inside the box. Later, he controlled Abdou Diallo’s exquisite cross from inside the box, waited for the ball to drop down, and sent a perfectly weighted pass that Emil Forsberg converted.
Henry explained why Werner may be back to his best now that he has left Chelsea and said that this cool, calm, and ruthless Werner was never seen in the Premier League.
Henry said, “I’ll call it confidence.” Some gamers don’t mind if you put your arm around them, according to you. They’ll show there, do their thing, and then go.
Then there are players who demand to be shown affection. They need to have the impression that they will play for 90 minutes, perhaps. The second aim is the greatest illustration.
“Werner would never have placed the ball down at Chelsea, and he would never have seen Forsberg, first and foremost on the initial control. He would have overthought and overdone things, rushing to get anything done.
He was quiet before, and he is calm once more, as I previously saw. When he brought the ball down, he may have taken the shot since some people said he couldn’t score at Chelsea; but, scoring again gives you confidence. Then, at the appropriate moment, I see him pass it with his left foot.
“Sometimes you go to some places, they don’t show you that love. I’m not saying he didn’t have it, but if he didn’t feel it as he felt it at Leipzig, you’re not going to be at your best, and you won’t make the correct decision.”

WERNER PENALTIES A WASTEFUL CELTIC
Yesterday’s score might have told a different tale if Celtic had merely been able to locate the opening.
Instead, it places the Bhoys with just one point at the bottom of Group F, where they must now compete to advance to the Europa League.
Celtic’s path to the knockout rounds was made possible by Shakhtar Donetsk’s stoppage-time equalizer against the now-qualified Real Madrid, while Leipzig will be looking for a favor from the Glasgow club if they can defeat the Ukrainian team in the coming weeks.
