‘Not happy what does it mean’ Diego Costa questioned for what he did in Chelsea vs Wolves
chelseafcnews updates you on Wolves news as Diego Costa observes Chelsea’s standing ovation.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! When Diego Costa was substituted in the second half of Wolves’ Premier League match against Chelsea, Tim Sherwood claimed he would be upset with the Brazilian.
The former Blues striker earned his first Premier League start for Wolves this afternoon as he visited Stamford Bridge for the first time since leaving West London in 2017. After being replaced in the second half, Costa walked around the field to accept cheers from fans. He received a warm welcome from the home crowd.
Sherwood, a former manager of Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, questioned Costa’s selection. He stated on Sky Sports, “Brilliant from him though because they are going to make the move, Hwang’s going to come on for him. He moves as far away from the dugout as he can and around the entire field, receiving a standing ovation all the while. He is shaking hands with every Chelsea supporter. If I were the Wolves manager, I would be unhappy about this, but he deserves it since he is a club legend.
“He could have simply left the field, but instead he exited in a corner and made the entire circuit on foot. He’s receiving the applause I think he merits, but as I said, if I were the Wolves manager and we had a game to win here, I wouldn’t be pleased with this.”
