According to reports, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is not ready to give N’golo Kante the deal he desires right now.

The Frenchman is reportedly seeking a four-year contract to stay at the club and, if the matter is not settled, he may depart for free next summer.

The 31-year-old hasn’t been a member of the Blues’ roster since suffering an injury against Tottenham late in the second game of the year.

The Blues have struggled to fill the void left by his absence throughout this period, as seen by their mediocre season debut.

Although he won’t be ready for tonight’s crucial Champions League match against AC Milan, Graham Potter provided some good news that his rehabilitation was progressing much better.
