“My dream come true,” the £200,000-a-week star says official signing with blues
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! After completing his summer transfer to Chelsea, French defender Wesley Fofana reportedly said it is a dream.
Thomas Tuchel has made it his goal to bolster his backline over the last several months after a number of players left the club at the start of the summer transfer window.
Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly also joined earlier in the summer, but Tuchel felt it wasn’t enough and set out to buy Fofana from Leicester City at any cost.
The Frenchman eventually finalized his transfer to Stamford Bridge this week on a deal of £70 million, with rumored earnings of £200,000 per week, following months and months of rumors.
Wesley Fofana said on the club’s official website that the previous two days had been “very momentous days” for him and that he was “extremely thrilled” to have joined ChelseaFC.
“I trained with the team this morning, and it’s a dream come true for me. I’m really eager to begin playing games for the supporters and the club.
“I’m here to win championships, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup. I’m here to maintain the winning tradition that the club has established since it was founded.
A dream realised. ✨#FofanaIsChelsea
