According to recent sources, Frenkie De Jong, a star for Barcelona, is prepared to accept a transfer offer to Chelsea.

According to reports, Barcelona is ready to recoup some of the money they have spent on new player signings by offloading De Jong. It has been said many times that this is true.
Barcelona has spent a lot of money on players like Raphinha, Jules Kounde, and Robert Lewandowski as they try to rebuild the club; the £60M they would receive from the sale of De Jong would go a long way.
It has been shockingly reported in the media that Chelsea FC has made an approach to try and sign De Jong this summer as a result of Thomas Tuchel’s desire to bolster his midfield.
Despite all the reports, Noel Whelan has now said that De Jong would accept Chelsea’s offer to go there. “Chelsea are in a much better shape following the takeover,” he said, according to Football Insider.
“If you compare Chelsea with Manchester United, Chelsea has much more advantages. Football in the Champions League has superior players so far this summer.
“For De Jong, it is obvious. Take a look at the beginning of this season. Why would you pick Manchester United?
“Even if they have a new boss, their problems remain the same.
Players like De Jong deserve to participate in the Champions League given their size and talent.
