Timo Werner is allegedly willing to accept a drastic wage cut in order to leave Chelsea, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Due to Thomas Tuchel’s reduced playing time over the past year, the German is apparently quite eager to leave the club.
The 26-year-old has apparently been the target of the club’s selling efforts many times this summer, with offers to trade him for Matthijs de Ligt and more recently Josko Gvardiol.
Werner anticipated a significant wage decrease.
Although the RB Leipzig player is supposedly not for sale this summer, the 20-year-old is reportedly towards the top of the list when it comes to defensive targets.
Werner’s offer, according to Plettenberg, may cause them to rethink their position since the forward is prepared to reduce his salary in order to play more frequently for the Blues.
“Werner -,” he said. More and more plausible is his return to Leipzig! There are constant conversations. Loan or permanent deal? RB is examining both. Tuchel must now express his desires. Due to his excellent RB relationship, Timo is prepared for a significant wage reduction.
Any chance to resurrect his Chelsea career would be difficult to come by with Raheem Sterling’s acquisition presumably shutting off the left side for the foreseeable future.
People would be disappointed by the decision since he is a personable and well-liked personality among his followers. The benefit will, though, come if the Blues can utilize it to sign a future defender.
With his exploits in the Bundesliga and Europa League last season, Gvardiol demonstrated that he is a player for the present as well as the future. He will have two of the greatest in Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly to help him hone his trade.
