Rio Ferdinand, a former teammate of Ronaldo’s, has provided an explanation as to why the Portuguese international is so eager to move on from Old Trafford after only one season, even if it is to Chelsea.
On his FIVE YouTube channel, Ferdinand stated: “You’re talking about Cristiano Ronaldo here!
“I don’t understand how Cristiano Ronaldo’s dissatisfaction with the state of affairs at Manchester United has become such a huge subject. He cannot be. I would not.
“You can’t sit here and expect people who want to win football games or trophies, who are used to winning and battling every year at the top of the league for the biggest prizes, to be pleased when they suddenly aren’t – and don’t even qualify for the Champions League.
“He’s disappointed that he didn’t qualify for the Champions League.
He isn’t even familiar with the Europa League soundtrack!
“When it starts, he’ll be asking himself, ‘What dance am I in here?’
