Cristiano Ronaldo, a star for Manchester United, was not present on Monday as the preseason began.
The 37-year-old informed the team on Monday that he wouldn’t be able to return for preseason due to family obligations, and the team gave him permission to do so.
Cristiano Ronaldo, though, was seen at Portugal’s training facility on Monday after missing Manchester United’s preseason game.
Ronaldo arrived at Portugal’s training facility outside of Lisbon on Monday afternoon, as shown by Portuguese TV station SIC Noticias.
Before the team departs on Friday for Bangkok to begin their pre-season tour, it is still unknown whether Ronaldo will fly back to Manchester.
Before returning to Portugal, Ronaldo vacationed in Majorca for a portion of the summer.
Tony Cascarino, a former Chelsea striker, responded to the report that Ronaldo was interested in joining Chelsea.

According to Cascarino, Ronaldo is a player with an ego as he always has been. The teams he has played on have been successful, so you always go with that as a team player even if a lot of it is about him.
“Great, he scores goals, he receives recognition, and he’s one of the best players to ever play the game. All of it is OK as long as you are triumphant.
“When you lose, suddenly you have a problem,” he said. I told you off-air that I am a little dubious of him since he has 141 Champions League goals.
Messi has 125. Since Ronaldo is designed to be the greatest Champions League goalscorer of all time, he does not want to forego playing Champions League football.
