“I have nothing to hide” Cole Palmer tells fans why they shouldn’t blame Enzo Maresca for Chelsea dip
Cole Palmer: From Unknown to Global Star
We’ve all seen how quickly Cole Palmer has become one of the most exciting young talents in football. Going from relative obscurity to a global sensation in no time, it seems even he didn’t expect his rise to happen so fast. In a recent interview on Chelsea’s website, Palmer shared his thoughts on his success:
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!“I didn’t think it would happen this quick, but I knew I could do it. I just try to work hard every day, listen to the coaches, stuff like that. I just want to play football.”
A Rising Star in a Struggling Team
While Palmer continues to impress, the team around him is facing some challenges. Since the holiday period, their form has been less than ideal, and at times, it feels like Palmer is the only thing standing between them and even worse results. Lately, even his usually outstanding form has started to wane, showing the pressure of carrying the team.
Palmer, however, remains optimistic. Reflecting on the season, he said:
“I think we started well. We had a little bit of a dip but we’re just trying to find our form again. I knew Enzo previously, so to work with him again is amazing. Obviously, the head coach has given us all the ideas, we’ve just got to execute it.”
Even with the struggles, Palmer is clear that the players, not the coach, are the ones responsible for turning things around.
A Strong Relationship with Coach and Teammates
When asked about his connection with the head coach and his teammates, Palmer emphasized the close bond they share:
“My relationship is good with the head coach and my team-mates. We’re all close.”
Palmer’s Penalty Mastery
Of course, no conversation with Cole Palmer would be complete without touching on his incredible penalty-taking ability. Palmer insists that he doesn’t put much effort into practicing penalties, but he certainly knows how to deliver when it counts:
“I don’t practice them. Maybe I’ll take like three penalties the day before a game, but it’s not something I practice. But as long as I score, I don’t mind how the goals come.”
And honestly, we couldn’t agree more. Just keep scoring, Cole – the team is counting on it!
