Chelsea’s Attack on Fire: Palmer, Jackson, and Madueke Impressing
Chelsea fans have every reason to be pleased with their team’s attacking lineup this season. With Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, and Noni Madueke in strong form, the Blues are closing in on the top four in the Premier League standings. Palmer and Jackson have been particularly clinical, netting seven and six league goals respectively so far.

Nicolas Jackson has now solidified his spot as Chelsea’s go-to striker—a status Romelu Lukaku was never able to achieve during his time at Stamford Bridge. Often compared to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, Lukaku struggled to live up to the expectations in London and has recently shared his thoughts on this comparison.
Lukaku’s Fresh Start at Napoli
Lukaku, unhappy in his second stint with Chelsea, was eventually loaned out twice before securing a permanent transfer to Napoli for £30 million last summer. Now thriving under ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, the 31-year-old has netted four goals and set up four more in just eight Serie A games. His latest came in a 2-0 victory over AC Milan, marking his 100th goal contribution in the Italian league. Although Lukaku could have stayed in England, he was drawn back to Italy and to Conte, feeling at home in Serie A once again.
Nicolas Jackson Set to Outshine Lukaku’s Record
Last season, Jackson scored 14 goals in the Premier League, while Lukaku managed 13 in Serie A, with both playing nearly the same number of games. This year, Jackson already has more goals and could surpass Lukaku’s total yet again. Signed for a modest £32 million, Jackson has proven to be a far more cost-effective and productive investment than the nearly £100 million Chelsea spent on Lukaku.
While Lukaku’s Italian revival is noteworthy, he’s firmly in Chelsea’s past. Jackson, meanwhile, continues to deliver and will look to add to his Premier League tally in a highly anticipated clash against Manchester United—another one of Lukaku’s former clubs—this Sunday.
