Chelsea Considering Another Center-Back After Signing Tosin Adarabioyo
Chelsea wasted no time in securing their first summer signing, bringing in defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham. The former Manchester City talent had a successful stint at Fulham but decided to move to Stamford Bridge after his contract at Craven Cottage ended. Tosin’s addition is set to fill the gap left by fan favorite Thiago Silva, who has returned to his childhood club, Fluminense.

In the midst of pursuing a new forward, there is a strong chance Chelsea will add another defender. Romano has hinted that Chelsea might bring in multiple central defensive options.
“It will continue to be a busy summer at Chelsea,” said Romano in his Daily Briefing. “It won’t be completely crazy, but they will try to make smart moves, including signing a new goalkeeper. I expect them to try for at least one new center-back, but it could be two. Chelsea will also be active in the striker market.”
Eyeing Man United’s Target
Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano has been linked to Chelsea, but rather than negotiating with Bayern, Chelsea might aim to outmaneuver Manchester United.
Chelsea’s Formal Bid for Aaron Anselmino
Manchester United, managed by Erik ten Hag, has been monitoring Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino as an alternative to Jarrad Branthwaite, with United’s bid for Branthwaite being rejected.
According to South American journalist Uriel Lugt, Chelsea has officially bid for Anselmino and offered the 19-year-old a four-year contract. Anselmino is highly regarded in Argentina, despite limited first-team appearances for Boca Juniors, showcasing Chelsea’s scouting network’s diligent efforts.
