Levi Colwill, a Chelsea loanee, had a good season on loan with Huddersfield, but his season ended on a low note when he scored an own goal in the Championship play-off final against Nottingham Forest.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Despite the sad circumstances from that game, Colwill has had his most productive season to date.
“There wasn’t much I could do in terms of the goal,” Colwill remarked.
“All I needed to do was dam it, but he kicked my knee up and it struck it.” I didn’t sure what to say, but I figured it was acceptable. I’ve got to stay in the game and help the team. That’s exactly what I tried to do. It was just bad luck. That’s soccer, bad luck, and I’m not going to let it stop me or bring my head down.
“It’s been the most productive year of my life.” I’m pleased with myself. Employees and the staff have been excellent. We had a great time together, and I’m pleased to be a part of this team.”
“We’ll see [whether I remain for another season or return to Chelsea],” Colwill said of his Chelsea future. I’ll focus on the internationals first, and then we’ll see what happens.
