After the match, Hodgson commented on the situation, saying, “It’s crazy seeing one of your favorite players score goals against you. Conor Gallagher scored twice and made it difficult for us. I feel extremely sorry for our fans because they will go home and sleep on that defeat; it’s going to be very tough for everybody.”
Pochettino, the Chelsea manager, shared that Gallagher chose to stay at Chelsea during the January transfer window. When asked about tying Gallagher down to a new deal, Pochettino responded, “It is about him and the club. I am not suffering from this type of thing.
